Archeology might seem like an odd choice for someone planning a career in design, but I found the idea of learning about humans through objects they use very exiting. Archeology is, basically, history of design, and it’s relation to people. In design, we construct objects for humans (the better our understanding, the better the final design)and in archeology, we try to recreate who were humans that used the designs. It also taught me how to conduct research scientifically, how to deal with data, and how to work in a group.
